L’ Dor v’ Dor Legacy Project

When Cleveland’s Jewish Federation embarked on its L’Dor v’Dor (“From generation to generation”) legacy fundraising initiative, they turned to Nancy Schwartz-Katz for a visual identity. She responded with a powerful project logo and commemorative artwork presented to individuals and families making a legacy commitment.  Schwartz-Katz also created the embossed paper used for personal legacy statements, inviting donors to articulate in their own words why they choose to give. These handwritten reflections are then displayed or placed into a handcrafted box permanently exhibited in the Federation’s Legacy space, transforming individual acts of generosity into a collective, intergenerational narrative. Taken as a whole, the project reflects Schwartz-Katz’s ongoing commitment to art as a vessel for values, memory, and continuity.
