Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Make-A-Wish Foundation Guitar

The Rock Hall / Make-A-Wish guitar fundraiser was a collaborative charity project between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Make a Wish Foundation , inviting artists to transform guitars into one-of-a-kind functional artworks auctioned to support children with critical illnesses. Nancy Schwartz-Katz was invited to participate two years in a row on behalf of the Jewish Community by The Jewish Federation of Cleveland  as part of Cleveland’s initiative.

Her first guitar featured a quote by Anne Frank, emphasizing individual responsibility to improve the world. The second highlighted the greater Cleveland community supported by the Federation, with leaves bearing the names of funded organizations and pomegranate imagery symbolizing collective responsibility and peace. Unfortunately, the second guitar was vandalized and many leaves are missing in the photo here.
