Meaning within the Letters

Cut from a single sheet of Mohawk paper, this work explores the paradox of progress. Humanity’s greatest inventions have expanded freedom while simultaneously binding us to systems of dependence. The imagery mirrors itself on both sides, underscoring this tension. Blue symbolizes freedom; gray and silver represent enslavement. The piece asks whether advancement has enhanced our lives or quietly claimed ownership of them.
